Rose Teagarten is an alias for an aspiring artist and costume designer named Madison. She was born in London to an English dad and a Scottish mum and moved to Los Angeles at two years old. She has loved to draw since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She has also had a long love of history thanks to her mother’s retelling of British history. She particularly enjoyed bedtime stories about the Tudors and Mary Queen of Scots. At the age of nine she realized she could combine her love of history and art if she became a costume designer, and hasn’t looked back since.

She loves to spend time delving into and analyzing existing characters to design for as well as creating and designing her own original and sometimes mysterious characters. She started learning to sew at ten years old so that she could effectively bring to life her designs.

While many of her designs are fabric based, many are also made of less traditional materials such as wire and plastic bags. And even those that are made of fabric are certainly not ordinary.

It’s been eight years since she first found her passion for costume design. Now she is more passionate than ever and is going to college to make her dream come true.
